What was the great compromise?
The great compromise was a compromise between the Virginia and New Jersey plans.
Who proposed the great compromise?
Roger Sherman from Connecticut proposed the great compromise.
What was the 3/5 compromise?
So southerners wanted slaves to be part of their population because the majority of people in the south were slaves. But we couldn’t count the slaves because they weren’t citizens on the U.S. So the south could count slaves in their population they made the 3/5 compromise. Where 3/5’s of the south’s slaves would be counted as part of the population.
How was the legislature ( congress ) organized?
In this plan there was 2 houses in the legislature, the upper house is the senate, in the senate each branch gets 2 senators no matter how big or small the state’s population is. The lower house is the “ House of Representatives “ the amount of representatives you have are based on the population.
The southerns wanted to keep slave trade because that was a big part of their economy, but the northerners wanted to ban the slave trade, so what did they do?
They made a compromise the compromise was that congress couldn’t touch the slave trade for 20 yrs, So after 20 yrs congress could regulate ( stop ) the Slav trade.
What is a federalist?
Supporters of the constitution and they believed that the constitution would create a strong national government

What are anti federalists?
Anti federalists were people who were against the ratification of the constitution
They believed that congress would burden the country with taxes, president could rule like a king, judicial branch would overpower state courts, they disliked that it didn’t state the rights of the people
