Citizenship Clause
14th amendment, naturalized all individuals born in US territory as American citizens of that state/territory no matter what
Privileges and Immunities Clause
14th Amendment, states are prohibited from any action that takes away or limits a citizens privileges and immunities
Due Process Clause
14th Amendment, states unable to deprive life, liberty, or property without the due process of law (defending themselves and their innocence)
Equal Protections Clause
14th Amendment, no state denial of equal protection to its citizens
Prohibition Clause
13th Amendment, involuntary servitude/slavery as a punishment
Disenfranchised previously eligible males due to crime but still counted towards state representation, allowing African American men to be targeted and mass incarcerated; unable to vote yet still giving the state more power

Treason as an executive officer/congressmen who has taken oath to defend Constitution cannot run for office again unless 2/3 vote of both houses overrides
14th Amendment Section 4
- Debts incurred by being Confederate/slaveowner are invalid and not protected by the government
- Debts on the Loyalist side are valid and can be given a check by the government to pay off
14th Amendment Section 5
Congress has the power to enforce these things (mini necessary and proper clause)
Commerce Clause
Article I, Section 8, Clause 3, Congress power to regulate interstate commerce
Necessary and Proper Clause
Article 1, Sect. 8 Clause 18, Congress given implied powers to enforce expressed powers
Supremacy Clause
Article VI, Clause 2, Constitution and laws made to express constitutional powers = supreme to all other laws
Amendment X
Powers not delegated to the Feds and not prohibited from states are given to states
Original and Appellate Jurisdiction
Article III, Section 2, Clause 2 Original power given when involving foreign ambassaors, consuls, and/or states, the rest of cases given to lower courts and move up as appellate jurisdiction cases
