How has housing changed for the Korowai people?
- Used to live on 10m stilt houses, but were encouraged to move to villages on the river-side.
How has clothing changed since contact for the Korowai people?
Traditionally consisted of loincloth, but has since moved to t-shirts and shorts, (Some with MU on them)
How has language changed for the Korowai people?
- They’re educated in Indonesian.
- Some of the newest generation no longer know how to speak the original language.
How has the Korowai tribe been globalised?
- Have access to Coca-cola, and use a semi-capitalistic system for their economy. (This leads to over-exploitation of the rainforest)
