A group of them led by Francesco Nullo were arrested at Sarnico near the Austrian Border.

During a demonstration in favour of the group at Brescia was fired on by government troops, killing some of the demonstrators.

A

20 June 1866 Italians declared war on Austria, Had an army of 40,000 bigger than the Austrians. They were ill prepared and got crushed at Custozza.

some days later on the 3rd July Austrians crushed by Prussians and ceded Venice to France who handed it over to Italy.
