Connections Flashcards
What is a parallel connection?
Whenever, two ends of an instrument/electrical element is connected to the two ends of the other element. This connection is called parallel.
What is a series connection?
Whenever, one elements is after another element in the circuit, and there is no branch between them. This connection is called series.
What is the reason that the voltmeter has to be connected to in parallel?
The reason that a voltmeter has to be connected to in parallel, is because of its resistance being too high.
What is the reason that an ammeter has to be connected in series?
The reason that an ammeter has to be connected in series, its by its resistance being too low.
What is the wrong connection of voltmeter and ammeter?
The reason in which this is a wrong connection is because the current prefers to go through the current without any resistance. Which in result the current doesn’t pass towards the lamp, and the light is not turned on.
