Seroconversion high levels of IgG > 300 IU/ml
Amniocentesis : DNA t gondii PCR
Primary inf during pregnancy: toxoplasmosis
spiramycin every 3 weeks
Congenital toxxo treatment
12-18 months with pyrimethamine and sulfadiazine / sulfadoxine and folinic acid
Congenital rubella syndrome
Microcephaly, PDA, cataracts (salt and pepper)
Blueberry muffin 1- rubella
2 neuroblastoma
3- CMV
What is the most common congenital viral inf ?
CMV (1-2%)
Treatment of CMV
Gancyclovir iv
Valacyclovir iv and per os
Treatment of pregnant women with genital herpes
Acyclovir 4 weeks before birth
Congenital syphilis treatment in pregnancy and in newborns
Pregnancy: procaine penicillin
Newborns: penicillin G
