What is conduction?
A
The transfer of heat energy travailing through a material but not moving the material.

what are commonly used as conductors?
A
Metals are good conductors of heat but non-metals and gases are usually poor conductors of heat.

What happens in conduction?
A
when a a material is heated the atoms are energised and vibrate throughout the material, heating it up.
