WHAT IS A COMPUTER?
It is a machine that manages and processes data
It is an electronic device that receives input, processes that input, and release an output
What is an Expandable system?
A system with room so that specs can be added, eg. has room for more hard drives, CPUs, or power supply units
What is a CPU?
It Stands for Central Processing Unit. It is the brain of the computer where most calculations take place

What are server Computers?
It is a Supercomputer with extra processing power which is expandable and mainly used for business
What are desktop computers?
It is a computer deigned for the desktop and comes with separate components such as a monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers and system unit
What are laptop computers?
It a computer designed for the lap that comes with components attached to each other
What are Mobile Computers?
It is a small electronic device designed to create and manage data eg. Smart phone, Smart TV, Refrigerator, Car, watches, Ipads, tablets, etc
What is a LCD monitor?
Liquid Crystal Display – It is a monitor that is made from a liquid crystal that glows when fluorescent light hits it and emits light that displays an image on the display screen. It is a monitor that is mainly used for laptops and flatscreens. Its Maximum Picture Resolution is 1080 pixels. It displays a digital signal
What is a LED monitor?
LED: - Light Emitting Diode – It is a monitor that is comprised of a diode that emits light that displays an image on the display screen. It is light weight and portable and has better picture quality. Its Maximum Picture Resolution is 4000 pixels. It displays a digital signal. Newer versions have Maximum picture resolutions that go up to 8000p (OLED)
What is a CRT monitor?
CRT: - Cathode Ray Tube – It is monitor that is usually large and heavy that is made with a cathode ray that emits electrons back and forth creating the image displayed on the monitor. Its Maximum Picture resolution is below 720p. It displays analog signals
What is HD?
HD: - High Definition Resolution. It is a picture quality resolution that is 720p and greater
What are Digital signals?
Digital Signals: - Displays picture quality resolution at 720p and above
What are Analog signals?
Analog Signals: - Displays picture quality below a resolution of 720p
Most phones end at 720p due to bandwidth
Video Quality on a computer fluctuates based on the bandwidth

Server Rooms: - It is small secured room that contains servers; Have cooling systems from the ceiling and floor to cool server rooms. Cannot reboot a server without upper management pre-approval, usually will be scheduled ahead at a later date where customers and users are notified ahead
What is a Datacenter?
Datacenter: - It is a room full of servers. Has generators to prevent power loss from ever occurring
What is a Blade Server?
Blade Server: It is a rectangular unit designed to be mounted on racks used for big business enterprises; Has 12 or more HDs

THE WINDOWS BOOT UP PROCESS
1. PHASE 1: Power on the system
2. PHASE 2: The POST Program is loaded into RAM and executed
3. PHASE 3: The operating system is loaded into the RAM. A User login (login authentication or login information) is requested
4. PHASE 4: User Profile is loaded onto the OS desktop
What does a Boot up or Boot mean?
BootUp: - It means startup
Boot: It means start or power up
