What is the definition of balance?
The ability to keep the centre of mass above the base of support
What is the definition of agility?
The ability to change direction with speed whilst maintaining control
What is the definition of flexibility?
The range of movement at a joint
What is the definition of power?
Strength X speed
What is the definition of reaction?
The time taken to react to a stimulus
What is the definition of co-ordination?
The ability to move 2 or more body parts smoothly and efficiently
What is the definition of speed?
The minimum rate an individual can cover a distance or perform a movement in a period of time
What is the definition of CV endurance?
The ability for the heart and lungs to supply oxygen to the working muscles
What is the definition of muscular endurance?
The ability for muscle groups to complete repeated contractions without fatigue
What is the definition of strength?
The ability to overcome resistance

What is the definition of fitness?
Being able to meet the demands of the environment
What is the definition of health?
A complete state of physical, mental and social well-being, and not just in the absence of illness or infermity
What are the reasons for fitness testing?
To find strengths and weaknesses
To monitor improvement
Provides motivation
To add variety to training
What are the limitations of fitness testing?
They are not sport specific
They lack reliability
They can be inaccurate
They have the wrong protocols
