Definitions of the CoF
What is Body Composition?
The percentage of body weight that is fat, muscle and bone.
What is Cardiovascular Fitness?
The ability of the lungs, heart and blood to transport oxygen.
What is Flexibility?
The range of movement (ROM) at a joint.
What is Muscular Endurance?
The ability to use voluntary muscles repeatedly without tiring.
What is Strength?
The amount of force a muscle can exert against a resistance.
What is agility?
The ability to move from one position to another quickly, whilst controlling the movement.
What is Balance?
The ability to maintain the body’s center of mass above the base of support.
What is Coordination?
The ability to use different parts of the body together, smoothly and efficiently.
What is Power?
The ability to exert maximum force as quickly as possible.
What is Reaction Time?
The time taken to respond to stimulus.
What is Speed?
The ability to move the body quickly.
