Acute pancreatitis 2-4 days after MI
What syndrome can someone get post MI, when does it usually present and what is the triad of the syndrome?
Dresser syndrome. 2-10 weeks. Chest pain, fever, and pericarditis.
What are the two most common arrhythmias that are complications of MI?
VT and VF
What abnormal rhythm presents after fibrinolytic therapy?
Accelerated idioventricular rhythm
What two abnormal rhythms present with an inferior Mi?
Sinus bradycardia and second degree AV block
What is the leading cause of in hospital death from AMI?
Heart failure
What is a common mechanical complication of MI and why?
Acute Mitral regurgitation because of an infarction leading to rupture or papillary muscle dysfunction
What kind of rupture is associated with anterior wall MI?
Septal rupture with VSD is associated with anterior wall MI
What does lateral free wall rupture cause?
Tamponade
What kind of aneurysm is associated with anterior wall MI?
LV aneurysm
What thromboembolic complication can happen because of an MI?
Arterial emboli causing stroke or ischemic bowel

RCA. Inferior wall MI.
What is the differential diagnosis of a stemi?
Pericarditis, myocarditis, stress induced syndrome, and early repolarization.
