What are Constraints affecting exercise compliance?

A

Attitudinal - challenge level unequal to patient skill level.
Communicative - poor communication with the patient.
Economic - lack of financial resources.
Experiential past negative experience with service or exercise.
Health constraints – real / perceived.
Lack of support – family / friends to assist with exercise.
Lack of physical resources in the community – facilities / equipment.
Temporal barriers – real / perceived no time to conduct a proposed activity.
Choice - the patient is not part of the goal setting procedure.
