What is Rudderstack & how do we compete?

A

Rudderstack is a young company competing with Segment. It offers its solution as an open source alternative to Segment.

Companies can host on premise or Hybrid - focussing on security. They have to manage infrastructure themselves.
They are cheaper than Segment but they have an incomplete product lacking functionality that Personas & Protocols has.

Segment is a best in class solution with 350+ integrations - flexibility to move vendors & prevent lock in. 
Data Router Reliability - Segment processes more than 500 billion events per month & growing.
