- Logically thought of the different scenarios, if we did not delay offsite, uncertainty on getting venue etc then next event may be very far in the future, instead, we decided to delay it to increase the probability of delivering the event, but to compensate for the delay we would have a smaller event that was easier to organise to substitute for the delayed event. The end result was an offsite that was delayed but less execution risk, and an event to mitigate disappointment of delay
