How can a company change its name?
A company can change its name by: (i) special resolution, or (ii) in accordance with a ‘change of name’ procedure contained in its articles: ss 77-81 CA 2006.

What is the requirement of a registered office?
⁃ A company must have a registered office (s 86 CA 2006), and can change its registered office by a resolution of the directors at a board meeting (*s 87 CA 2006).
⁃ “Bikes RU Limited a company registered under the Companies Acts under number 8888888 and having its registered office at 1234 Chambers Street Edinburgh EH88 99YL.”
Can a company change it’s company number?
A company can change its name, but NOT its company number.
