  • WOMEN ARE EQUAL=’there can be neither male or female,you are all in one Christ’, on Easter Sunday Jesus appeared to a woman first, man and woman are equal (Adam and Eve), women did as much as men to spread Gospel
  • WOMEN ARE INFERIOR=God created man first, 12 male disciples, St. paul said “wives be subject to your husbands”, women better suited to motherhood roles

Traditional Protestant-women minimal role, all male disciples, male was created first, Bible references say women were inferior
Modern Protestants-can do anything including being priests, Bible says women are equal so they should have the same roles, woman and man equal, there were possibly women priests in early days of Christianity

  • Bring new skills and strong ethic so economy benefits
  • Learn from other cultures (food,language etc)
  • When multi-ethnic countries work together there is less racism
