Communities Of Faith 2 Flashcards
Community breakdown
When a community collapses due to lack of communication, co-operation and sharing.
Sometimes the needs and the wants of an individual can sometimes clash with what is best for the community. Sometimes we need to sacrifice what we want for the good of the community. Pic the members of the community forget about communication, co-operation and sharing, it can lead to the community breaking down. Then people feel let down and hurt. It can take a lot of work to then get the community back on track.

Her and her companions set up their first school in France, then set up schools all over Europe. She was banned from spreading religious ideas as they were new at the time. The Loreto congregation was introduced into Ireland by Sister Teresa Ball in 1821.

Leadership
Every group needs certain things for it to reach its full potential like co-operation and communication. Strong leadership is something that makes sure these are present. A leader is someone who guides their community. Leaders are in a position of authority. Authority is the official power they have
Types of leadership
Authoritarian : the leader has all the power and doesn’t listen to the community. Works if used responsibly as it gets the job done, but can lead to an unhappy community if used wrongly.
Democratic : the leader asks the members of the community for their opinion and input. Works as the community develops, but doesn’t work if there is no trust
Free reign : this is when the leader does no work and leaves it all to the community. This works sometimes as the members feel important, but doesn’t if there is no structure
