Get out R21 Outage QRC and Start completing

Turn a ASTRO RDO to VHF 16

Call General Dynamics to get a repair going

Shift RDO Guards to Secondary FREQs via ASTRO

If needed, Do R21 Outage BCST (Use QRC)

Use Neighbor Units for COMMS Relay if needed

What are the radio guard time intervals?

Helo: 15 min. posn – 30 min. ops and posn

Fixed Wing Single Engine: 15 min. posn – 30 min. ops and posn

Fixed Wing Multi Engine: 30 min. posn – 60 min. ops and posn

Small Boat <40ft: 30 min. posn – 60 min ops and posn

Cutter >40ft: 4hr posn – 8 hr ops and posn

What are the lost comms procedures?

Upon scheduled check in time, make call out on Primary Freq, If no response within 1 min, continue making call outs on secondary and primary freqs.

A unit is considered lost COMMs if 5 min passed check in time.

Pull out Lost Comms QRC and Follow it.

Let the watch floor know, and continue making call outs every 1 min on all freqs.

Send out Lost Comms Message to Neighboring Units
