Definition + example of SUM function
The SUM function calculates the total of a Group of selected cl, values
E.g =SUM(C5:H5)
Average function
the average function calculates the average of a group of selected cell values
E.g =AVERGAE(C5:C16)
MAX function
The max function finds the largest value stored in group of cells
E.g =MAX(15:16)
IF function
The IF function sets the cell value depending on the result of examining a condition
E.g teachers wanted to give a score over ‘95’ “excellent” and the rest “well done”
If Grand total > THEN ‘Excellent’ ELSE ‘Well done’
Define Absolute Cell Reference
A cell reference that does not change when copied and will automatically update relevant formula to the new row or column
