Send = I am ready to receive your transmission
SITREP = situation report of the incident
Affirmative = Yes or correct
Negative = No, or this is incorrect
Roger = I have received and understood your last transmission
Standby = I must pause and will come back when ready
Define wordback?
A confirmation of the incident type and location, the incident status and resource requirements, (alarm level) followed by a brief description.
Define SITREP?
Gives a more detailed description of the fire or incident.
Define message?
To provide further information or for addditonal requests
What (5) elements are required to be included in a wordback?
- Name of the officer initiating the wordback
- Incident Type (as determined by the IC)
- Status of the emergency
- Address of the fire/incident
- Brief description of the event (optional)
