What did you learn about effective communication?
A
- Important to consider communicating over a telephone or with the use of meetings because written communication accounts for 10% of communication and sometimes things may get lost in translation.
- Active listening is important to understand client objectives and then reaffirming your understanding back to the client will help ensure nothing is lost in translation.

Which is your favourite communication method and why?
A
Writing - Audit trail for the things being said and it ensures nothing said can be lost in translation.

What negotiation skills did you apply at Oldmedow Road?
A
I recognised my client was in a strong position due to Havenbook’s requirement to achieve a financial saving to remain operational. I built a rapport with the tenant and I used the trade off technique regarding the tenant works.
