Where are the ground crew communication jacks and call buttons located?
At the ground DC power panel and the external air door
What does the EMER button do on the audio control panel?
The microphone is directly connected to the COM1 transmitter
How are the microphones in the oxygen masks turned on?
By placing the MIC/MASK selector on the audio control panel to the extended (pushed out) position. The speaker is automatically turned on when the MIC/MASK selector is pushed out.
How do you change the active transponder?
On the RMU, when the cursor box is in the ATC field, the 1/2 button switches the active transponder.
How do you cross-tune com and nav radios?
On the RMU, when the cursor box is in the COM or NAV fields, the 1/2 button transfers the RMU operation and display to the cross-side radio system.
What does the EMER mode of the Clearance Delivery Head (CDH) do?
Selects the emergency mode on the CDH, which disables the RMU’s capability to tune COM1 and NAV1. AUX ON displays on the RMU within the COM1 and NAV1 fields.
What is the power source of the CDH when the COM1 HOT button is pressed?
Hot battery bus 2
When the COM1 HOT button is pressed, what is supplied with the power from the number 2 hot battery bus?
the CDH, VHF COM1 and audio control panel 2
What is the recording duration of the Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR)?
The tape is a continuous loop of 30 minutes
