What are measles symptons
It is a viral disease of fever and red skin rash. It is a virus that is spread from hinhalation fo droplets from sneezes and coughs but there is a vaccine for it
HIV (viral)
Caused by flu-like illness. Unless it is controlled with antrietrovial drugs the virus attacks the body’simmune system cells. This causes Aids which occur when the body’s immune system is to damaged to fight it and can result in cancer. It can be spread through sexual contact or exchange of body fluids.
Tobacco mosaic virus
A widespread plant pathogen affecting many species of plants including tomatoes. It gives a distinctive mosaic pattern of discoleration on leaves which effects the growth due to lack of photosythesis.
Samonella (bacterial)
Food poisoning is spread by bacteriak ingested food in unhgeinic conditions. There is a vaccine for it to control spread. It includes feverm abdominal cramps, vomiting and diarrhoea caused by the bacterial toxins they secrete
Gonaorrhoes
A STD whit symptons liem thick yelkow or green dicharge from the vagina or penis and pain while urinating. It is a bacterium that is easily treated with penecillin until resisteant strains appear. Its spread can be controlled by antibiotics or the use of a barrier method.
Rose black spots
A fungal disease where purple or black spots develop on leaves turning them yellow and drop early. It affects growth as photosythesis is reduced. It is spread by wind or water and can be treated by fungicides and removing affected leaves
Malaria
A protist disease cause by the vector caried by misquitos.
What are the steps of a viral disease
Virus lands on cell
Virus borrows into cell
Virus takes over and gets cell to make copies of its self
Virus bursts out of cell
How does bacterial reproduce
They are unicellular organisms with no nucleus
They rapidly divide to produce identical cells by asexual reproduction (binary fission)
