Communicable Disease Flashcards
Bacterium
Small single-cell microorganisms that are prokaryotes and are found everywhere on the planet.
Communicable disease
Are illnesses that spread from organism to organism.
Fungicide
Biological organisms used to kill parasitic fungi .
Fungus
A fungus is any member of the group of eukaryotic organisms that includes microorganisms such as yeasts and molds.
Herd immunity
When the majority of the population have immunity against a serious disease, this means that even those people who are not immune will still be protected because they are less likely to come into contact with an infected person.
