In some people it can cause cervical cancer
Around 3000 women are diagnosed with HPV in the UK yearly
Most cervical cancers are caused by HPV which infects the cells of the cervix
Immune system allergies
Some allergies can be triggered by the immune system eg allergies such as asthma or dermatitis
The body is infected with a pathogen which the immune system fights off but the person is then left with an allergy
Mental illness
Sometimes a mental illness can be triggered by physical illness
People with arthritis can find it hard to move and lead a normal life which can cause them to feel depressed and isolated
