Management Reports on the Flying Hour Program: Implements the Air Force flying hour program and establishes requirements for each MAJCOM and flying hour manager to submit flying hour program reports to Headquarters United States Air Force (HQ USAF). It explains how to prepare the reports and provides guidelines on when to submit them.
AFI 11-202
Flying operations: This AFI contains guidance and information on flying operations and because of the amount of information it contains it is divided into three volumes.
Volume 1
Aircrew Training: This volume in conjunction with AFI 11-2MDS Specific series is useful if you work in the aircrew training office. Sets policy and guidance for implementing the Air Force Aircrew Training program. Event identifiers, proration, FS sortie req.
Volume 2
Aircrew Standardization/Evaluation Program: This volume establishes the Aircrew Stan/Eval Program and sets guidance on how to administer and document evaluations and examinations. Procedures for conducting flight and ground evals. (initia,, requal, no-notice, and sim) Use AF Form 8 and 942 to record and certify.
Volume 3
General Flight Rules: Pre-flight requirements, flight plan and passenger manifest filing procedures, flight authorizations, and clearance requests and approvals. It also contains guidance on flight formation, touch-and-go landings, approaches, use of night vision goggles (NVG), and life support equipment. (rest and limits)
AFI 11-401
Aviation Management: This AFI establishes procedures for managing Air Force flying resources and provides guidance that applies to administering aircrew aviation management programs. Flight authorizations, aviation resource management policies, and flight documentation. Management codes, initiate or end aviation service, publishing aeronautical orders (AO), computing operational flight duty accumulator (OFDA), and documenting flight time using the AFTO form 781, ARMS Aircrew/Mission Flight Data Document.
AFI 11-402
Aviation and Parachutist Service, Aeronautical Ratings and Badges: This AFI along with AFI 11-401 are most used in HARM office. It establishes procedures for initiating and terminating aviation and parachutist service and provides guidance on awarding USAF aeronautical ratings and badges. It contains directions on disqualification and requalification , flying evaluation board (FEB) procedures, AO publication, and manpower request and validation.
AFI 11-403
Aerospace Physiological Training Program: Governs the Air Force Aerospace Physiological Training Program that teaches aviators the physiological stresses and human factor implications of modern flight. It establishes training requirements, methods and phases, and provides procedures for conducting altitude chamber flights to include centrifuge training operations and requirements.
AFI 11-404
Centrifuge Training for High-G Aircrew: For members who are currently flying or selected to fly sustained high-G aircraft (SHGA). It outlines training requirements and contains procedures for handling members who fail to complete the training program. It also provides guidance on training documentation and establishes crew and qualification requirements for conducting training.
AFI 11-410
Personnel Parachute Operations: This AFI directs the administration, responsibilities, minimum standards, and procedures for all USAF agencies and personnel conducting premeditated parachuting operations. It includes information on qualification training and current requirements for Static, Free Fall, and Jumpmaster operations.
AFI 11-421
Aviation Resource Management**: Sets standards for updating, auditing, and monitoring aviation and parachutist data in ARMS. It establishes office procedures for conducting in and out processing and records reviews, maintaing flight and jump record folders, and managing physicals and physiological training. Career training on field, deployment ops, and aircrew incentive pay.
