What’s another name for chain hoist and how does it work?
Chain falls is another name for chain hoist and it can move loads up and down or sideways but never both and the same time. They’re mainly used for vertical lifting. It works by the operator pulling on the endless hand chain. Which turns the drive pulley. The drive pulley is connected to the lifting chain by a series of reduction gears that multiply the amount of force the operator exerts on the hand chain.
