Al-Maksoor
Amy letter with a kasrah.
الْمٓفْتُوح
Al-Maftooh
Any letter with a fathah
الْمٓضْمُوم
Al-Maddmoom
Any letter with a damma
الْمُتٓحٓرِّك
Al-Mutaharrik
A letter with a vowel/harakah
الْمُشٓدَّد
Al-Mushaddad
A letter with a shaddah
الرَّفعُ
Al-Raf’
The Nominative case. Nouns and verbs in this case are referred to as مرفع (marfoo’).
النَّصْب
Al-Nasb
The Accusative case. Nouns and verbs in this case are referred to as منصوب (Mansoob).
الجَرّ
Al-Jarr
The Genitive case, this case is specific to nouns. Nouns in this case are referred to as مجرور (Majroor).
الجَزْم
Al-Jazm
The jussive case, this case is specific to verbs. Verbs in this case are referred to as مجزوم (Majzoom).
اللَّفْظُ
Anything uttered in the form of speech in Arabic. The utterance can have meaning (الْمَوْضُوْع) or be meaningless (الْمُهْمَل).
اللَّفْظُ الْمَوْضُوْع
اللَّفْظُ الْمَوْضُوْع is the meaningful utterance. There are two types
الْمُفْرَد: The singe utterance
الْمُرَكَّب: The combined utterance
