History of STI

Abnormal/irregular vaginal bleeding
Vulval/vaginal sores, ulcers or blisters
No improvement after 7 days

What are treatment options?
Fluconazole
clotrimazole pessary/cream
wipe from front to back
cotton underwear
not using soaps but aqueous cream as wash
BACTERIAL VAGINOSIS
symptoms?

Symptoms of bacterial vaginosis include white and watery vaginal discharge that often has a strong fishy smell.
use water and plain soap to wash your genital area
have showers instead of baths
Don’t:
do not use perfumed soaps, bubble bath, shampoo or shower gel in the bath
do not use vaginal deodorants, washes or douches
do not put antiseptic liquids in the bath
do not use strong detergents to wash your underwear
do not smoke

What is treatment

What should be done if unprotected sex/contraceptive failure occurred?
EHC needs to be started within 120 hours if (ulpipristal) or 72 hours if lenvorgestrel , the sooner it is started the higher its efficacy. If this is unsuitable for the womanish can be referred to have IUD fitted as a method of contraceptive as long as the is done within 120 hours.

What medications interact with Ulipristal?

Headaches

CYP3A4 inducer e.g phenytoin, st johns wort; efficacy of ulipristal
Absorption may be reduced when in patients who are taking medicines that increase the gastric pH
Pregnant women, severe hepatic dysfunction, severe malabsorption
repeated administration within a menstrual cycle is not recommended
