Positives:
- Media spotlight can turn officials into role models so they can work full time/be professional
- increased investment leads to better training standards so referees are better
- increased availability of technology to aid decision making (takes a bit of pressure off)
Negatives:
- Media spotlight puts officials under pressure to make the right decision
- Technology highlights mistakes

A

Positives:
- Brands linked to positive/healthy team or performer can make more money
- Brand name is exposed to a wide audience = increase in exposure and profits
Negatives:
- Brand linked to a team involved in a scandal could damage their reputation
- Loss of profit if sport loses an audience due to worsened performance
- No guarantee of financial gain

- Media spotlight can turn players into role models, so more brands sponsor them and they receive more money, with this money they get get new kit and equipment which to help them improve even more
Negatives:
- Strong media presence can increase pressure and reduce enjoyment
- Mistakes become very public, players exposed to online hate which could impact their performance

- Prize funds are bigger
