Q

How does the landing gear transfer unit work?

A

Hyd system B pump supplies volume of fluid need to operate the landing gear transfer unit when all of the following conditions are met:

  • airborne
  • No1 engine rpm drops below a limit value
  • landing gear lever is positioned up
  • either main gear is not up and locked.

Q

Reqmnts to de-ice for csff?

A

No requirement to de-ice if

  • temp 4’c or greater,
  • no precipitation or fog with vis below 1600m
  • no ice on leading edge or control surfaces
  • fuel temp not below -16’c.

If any of the above criteria are not met then allowed up to 3mm on lower surface.

17
Q

RVSM reqd equipment?

A

Two independent altimeters,
Autopilot
Altitude alerter
Mode C transponder

18
Q

What/when happens with on app logic?

A

Either within 2nm of 1st app waypoint or 2000ft of airport elevation whichever occurs first.

Enables,
Unable RNP levels are higher
As long as alt alerter is at least 300ft above a/c will keep descending.
If a/c is more than 200ft below path will command level fight to regain path.
If mcp alt is more than 250ft above current alt vnav remains in vnav path.

19
Q

Go around logic occurs when?

Enables what?

A

Below 2000ft if any of following occur:

  • Toga pushed,
  • Direct to a waypoint in the missed app
  • Crossing the 1st missed app waypoint
  • a climb of 600fpm or more and flaps retracted from landing flap to either 15 or 1.

Enables:

  • Changes from active descent to active climb
  • go around thrust limit
  • all alt constraints below a/c deleted replaced by advisory alts
  • original destination become departure airport so Sid can be entered.
