College Terms Week 11 Flashcards
An exam required by almost all U.S. colleges and universities for students whose principal language is not English. The test is made up of three multiple-choice sections: listening comprehension, structure and written expression, and reading comprehension.
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
The official record of a student’s coursework at a school or college.
Transcript
A student who transfers from one college or university to another. Each school sets different policies for transfers and accepts different kinds of credit hours from the original institution.
Transfer Student
Costs that a college or university charges for courses, not including certain fees. (What the Kalamazoo Promise does cover)
Tuition
When a student drops a class after the drop period (see earlier) and before the last one-third of the class. Students who do this receive a W in that course on their transcript, but will not receive a refund.
