A
- 2500 machine tractor stations established to supply kolkhoz with machinery and to make sure they met quotas
- in august 1932 it was said that anyone who stole from a collective farm would receive a 10 year prison sentence

What were the weaknesses of second collectivisation
A
- dekulakisation lead to loss of 10 million good farmers
- 30% of livestock slaughtered by peasants
- livestock numbers didn’t reach pre collectivisation levels until 1953
Grain output didn’t exceed pre collectivisation levels until after 1935
- draught in October 1931 when combined with lack of skilled farmers caused production to drop and famine in Ukraine and Caucasus in 1932
