Collaboration and Consultation Flashcards
Collaborative-Dependent Consultation
When two people collaborate together to figure out a solution to a problem. Consultant helps consultee figure out a solution, and consultee needs to implement the plan. Like a partnership.
Collaborative-Interdependent Consultation
Multiple people working together, all experts in their own respective fields, to solve big problems. No one is the top expert; they are all on a level playing field.
Triadic-Dependent Consultation
One person, the consultant, is the expert, helping another person, the consultee, figure out a way to help the consultee’s client who is at their wits end with that client. e.g. a counselor helps the teacher figure out how to help the student in need.
