Stimulates the sympathetic system - hyperventilation, tachycardia, peripheral vasoconstriction, noradrenaline.

What is Long QT Syndrome?
A
Long QT syndrome (LQTS) is a condition which affects repolarization of the heart after a heartbeat. It results in an increased risk of an irregular heartbeat which can result in palpitations, fainting, drowning, or sudden death.
