symptoms
symptoms can range from mild to server and often come and go
common symptoms include: diarrhoea abdominal pain bloating and flatulence indigestion constipation vomiting fatigueless swelling of hands and feet difficulty getting pregnant unexpected weight loss
prevention
this can not be prevented but symptoms can - and preventing damage to your small intestine by eating a gluten free diet
if you do not stop eating gluten it can increase the risk of other long term conditions
treatment
usually treated by excluding gluten foods from diet
this prevents damage to the lining of your intestines and the associated symptoms
eating foods such as- dairy products fruit and vegetables potatoes rice and rice noodles gluten free flour

how to live with it
you must stop eating gluten because it will cause long-term problems.
foods not to eat- bread pasta cereal biscuits/crackers cakes/pastries pies gravies and sauces
causes
caused by an abnormal immune system reaction to protein gluten
it is a auto immune condition, where the immune system mistakes healthy cells and mistakes them for harmful ones making antibodies against them-killing them
things that increase the risk:
family history
environmental factors-digestive system infection
health conditions- type 1 diabetes, thyroid conditions, down syndrome
diagnostic techniques
testing for coeliac involves having:
blood tests- to help identifying who may have it
a biopsy- to confirm the diagnosis
