Individual, Team or Group being coached
The coach being mentored or supervised

What is coaching?
Partnering with clients in a thought provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential
What is a coaching relationship?
Relationship established by ICF and the client/sponsor under an agreement or a contract that defines the responsibilities/expectations of each party
What is ICF confidentiality?
protection of any information obtained around the coaching agreement UNLESS consent to release is given
What is a conflict of interest?
ICF professional is involved in multiple interests where serving one interest could work against or be in conflict with another. Financial, personal or otherwise
What is equality?
All people experience inclusion, access to resources and opportunity.
Who is an ICF Professional?
Individual who represents themselves as an ICF member, credential holder (coach, coach supervisor, mentor coach, coach trainer, and student coach)
Who are ICF Staff?
Contracted Support personal who provide professional management and administrative services on behalf of ICF
What is an Internal Coach?
Individual who is employed within an organization and coaches part-time or full time employees of that organization
What is a Sponsor?
The entity (and reps) paying for, arranging and defining the coaching services to be provided
Who are support personnel?
People who work for ICF Professionals in support of their clients
What is systematic Equality?
Gender, race and other forms of equality that are institutionalized in the ethics, core values, policies, structures and cultures of communities, organizations, nations, and society
