national sporting organisation is an industry that is the governing or peak body, they develop their own accreditation structure specific to their sport. each nso will be different for each sport (AFL, VNA)

educates coaches and provides them with accredited coaching qualifications through competency based training.
why is it important for a coach to be accredited.
its important for a coach to be accredited so they have a greater knowledge of the sport and they understand their roles and responsibilities when coaching a group of people.

equipment
all equipment should be regularly checked for deterioration, faults and general wear and tear that could impact its ability to be used safely. equipment should be reported to a senior staff member for maintenance, faulty equipment should always be isolated or removed from use.

ratio of coach to participants
the level of supervision required is dependant on the activity or sport being run. the more dangerous the activity the more the ratio of coach to participants.
