  • less interactions
  • milder withdrawal reaction
  • if withdrawal symptoms are severe, adjunctive therapy with lofexidine hydrochloride may be required
  • suboxone = buprenorphine and naloxone - use when there is a risk of dose diversion for parenteral administration
