3) although, it involves the destruction of an embryo

What is reproductive cloning?

A

Use of cloning to produce a child

Enables doctors to eradicate hereditary diseases by cloning healthy human beings

Babies should be created out of love, cloning is unnatural

Could lead to designer babies, which lowers the value of children

What are the positives from cloning?

A

Cloning an endangered species can prevent them from going extinct

Can be used to create ‘super animals’, e.g. cows that produce milk without lactose

Cloning naturally occurs in nature in frogs - if God is in control than surely it is OK

What are the negatives from cloning?

A

it is wrong to ‘play God’ and create life

it requires lots of attempts

embryos may be discarded

cloning may lead to weaker species being ignored and dying out
