What is its aim?
A
GP defends the natural world and promotes peace by investigating, exposing and confronting environmental abuse, encouraging environmentally responsible solutions and advocating for the rights and well being of people.

What does the GP do to raise awareness?
A
- Hold protests around the world
- They attend national conferences, meet with politicians, advertise and educate the public. E.g use of social media like Instagram account to inform and raise awareness.

What were its successes?
A
- 2011: After the release of GP’s Dirty Laundry report, major clothing brands commit to eliminate discharges of hazardous chemicals from across their entire supply chains and products within 10 years.
- 2016: After decades of campaign work, 85% of forested areas of the Great Bear Rainforest in B.C is protected from industrial logging.

What are its possibilities for the future?
A
By 2020: They want a fossil free future.
- 2020: power systems will have passed the points of no return.
- coal use will be down by 30% and headed towards 0.
- they will support and collaborate with Indigenous peoples, women, children, people living in poverty, workers and environmental defenders.
