A
- went to Palansia to rescue Agrippa. He had already been assassinated. He stole his ashes, his till his beard and hair grew long (looked like his master age+appearance). Kept moving around spreading the rumour

- Believers in a Rome, great crowds welcomed him in Ostia, and secretly in Rome
(does this show Tiberius’ unpopularity) “spread to every subversive malcontent”

A
- Tiberius was unsure what to do, to suppress with the army or let time eliminate the public naivety,
alarmed and then ashamed that he had thought so.

A
three soldiers to pretend complicity and offer money and support
when he was unguarded one night they took an adequate detachment
bound and gagged him at a night when he was unguarded, brought him to the palace.

How had he been made into Agrippa? “As you made yourself into Caesar” (the fact that Tacitus chooses to say this is negative for Tiberius
