What is an Open Skill?
Skills that are affected by the surrounding environment.
What is a Closed Skill?
Skills that are not affected by the surrounding environment.
What is a Self-Paced Skill?
A Skill where the performer has complete control over the rate in which the perform the skill.
What is an Externally- Paced Skill?
Skills where the timing and execution is determined by external factors.
What is a Gross Skill?
A Skill that involves large muscular groups to contract in one movement.
What is a Fine Skill?
A Skill that is very precise and involves small muscle groups to contract.
What is a Simple Skill?
A Skill that requires minimal thought, decision-making and feedback during execution.
What is a Complex Skill?
A Skill that requires considerable thought, decision-making and concentration during execution.
What is a Discrete Skill?
A Skill with a clear beginning and end of the movement.
What is a Serial Skill?
A Skill where you are somewhat able to make out where the movement begins and ends.
What is a Continuous Skill?
A Skill where it is unclear where the movement begins and ends.
What is a Low Organisation Skill?
A Skill that can be easily broken down into its specific subroutines and can be practiced independently.
What is a High Organisation Skill?
A Skill that cannot be easily broken down into its specific subroutines and cannot be practiced independently.
