A type of food that is eaten after lunch or dinner. It is usually sweet food, like ice cream, cookies, and cakes.

Baked Dessert
are made by using a cooking process called deep frying.
Fried dessert
are made by blending the ingredients in a freezer.

some desserts are made without using the oven or the freezer.
Chilled dessert
these are typically include a thickened dairy base.
Custard and pudding
can either take the form of light and flaky bread with an airy texture or unleavened dough with a high fat content.
Pastries
Some desserts do not fit nicely into any one category.

Blender or food processor

These small glass cups may be used in the oven for baking single-serving desserts and custards. They also are handy for separating eggs, coloring small amounts of frosting, and other baking uses.

This is a handheld rotary beater that can be used in place of a wire whisk or electric mixer.

This is a glass, metal, or ceramic utensil for removing the juice from citrus fruits sometimes called a reamer.

This is used for cooling baked goods. The racks allow air to circulate around the food and keep crusts from getting soggy.
Wire rack
This is an oven proof dish. This is a strong dish with a lid, commonly made of glazed ceramic or Pyrex.
Casserole dish
This is a device (usually electric) which maintains a temperature well below the freezing point of water and to keep food frozen well.
Freezer
This is an enclosed compartment for heating, roasting, and baking.
