Outline the binomial system of nomenclature

A

Important to have an international system, so observers know that they are talking about the same organism.
Binomial system means ‘‘two part name’’, and all binomial names consist of two latin words. Rattus norwegicus. Rattus (genus name), norwegicus (species name)
