Sonata Form (Texture/Structure/Form
A
This term is used to describe the structure of the first movement of many sonatas, symphonies and often overtures. It falls into three sections:
- Exposition - where two contrasting themes are introduced
- Development - the section where these themes are developed
- Recapitulation - where the themes are heard again

Sonata (Style)
A
- Solo instrument (which can accompany itself) i.e. piano/harp
- Solo instrument accompanied by a piano

Chamber Music (Style)
A
Originally these were preformed in homes and mainly by amateur musicians - as you can imagine, s[ace was limited, therefore this music was written for a small instrumental ensemble with one player to a part
String Quartet - A chamber music ensemble made up from two violins, one viola and one cello
