Watson and Rayner. Brom et al. concluded human sexual responses can be explained by CC

Can’t account for complex chains of learned behaviour e.g. how we come to fear dogs but not maintenance of this fear over time or behaviours we learn to avoid encounters w them

Aversion therapy treat people w unwanted behaviour e.g. sexual arousal to photo of young child. Shock (UCS) is paired with child’s photo (NS). Shock produces UCR response of discomfort. The NS will become CS, produce sensation of discomfort
