Use: drug of choice for PSVT
notes: Acts via adenosine Receptor; opens K+ channels and indirectly inhibits Ca2+ channels; mostly affects nodal tissue esp AV nodal conduction; VERY short half life; effects are reduced in presence of adenosine receptor blockers – caffeine and theophylline
