It is the ability to decode and understand a piece of information

What is Direct Reference Testing?
This type of testing requires little mental concentration often because the answer is quite frankly staring you in the face, direct reference is made from the required material
What is Inference Testing?
This type of testing involves the reader to deduce from the given material involving questions where the answer cannot immediately be found upon reading
What is Evaluative Testing?
This type of testing allows for the reader to reject the opinion of the writer of a given material using solid arguments to defend his/her arguments
What are the levels of Comprehension?
In-depth and Superficial
What is In-depth Comprehension?
This type of comprehension is usually used when studying in-depth material e.g. academic work
it requires a great deal of concentration due to the need for the reader to recall and understand the material for future use.
What is Superficial Comprehension?
This type of comprehension requires little concentration and it stereotypically used when reading leisurely publications and articles such as newspapers and storybooks. Recalling and Retention is not necessary.
What are some steps to achieve comprehension?
