When we are analyzing the effects of multiple independent variables (continuous or categorical) on one continuous independent variable (ANOVA is a subset if this)

How do we build a testable theory?
A
Reliability (the consistency of the measures or to what degree it is free from random error) and validity (degree to which a measure actually measures the attribute it’s supposed to measure)
